ABSTRACT
The applicability of the Statistical Synchronization Method (SSM) in parallel discrete-event simulation is studied. Criteria are given for the time-driven approach (SSM-T). It is proven, that the level of the output error can be guaranteed. Positive and negative examples are shown to give a deeper insight to the criteria. We conclude that SSM-T can be a very efficient synchronization method in the parallel simulation of large communications and other systems.
