Simulation of intelligent transportation systems based-on VANET.

The communicating vehicles, called vehicle ad-hoc network systems (VANETs), can improve the transportation systems on the roads. The student has to design and implement a simulation scenario based on a road map, vehicles, and ad-hoc networks based on SUMO (Simulation of Urban Mobility) and the OMNET++ simulation framework. With the simulation tool, the behavior of the vehicles can be analyzed with different traffic parameters (traffic load, road type (highway and urban), etc.), as well as the trip time between any two points on the road.
