Quantum computers endanger classical public key cryptosystems, and there's some ongoing effort to replace them with quantum-resistant (aka postquantum) crypto schemes in the near future. The task of the students is to get familiar with the approaches currently considered for implementing postquantum crypto (PQC), to study the properties of some selected PQC schemes, and to study the challenges of and approaches for the PQC transition in practice.
