Quantum Computing offers new approaches for Artificial Intelligence systems. The main aim of the thesis is to investigate how quantum systems can be integrated with classical AI architectures to handle computationally intensive tasks such as feature selection, sorting, or clustering in large datasets.
Tasks to be performed by the student will include:
Give an introduction to classical AI systems!
Give an introduction to quantum computing!
Identify computationally hard tasks in classical AI systems!
Propose quantum based solutions for these problems!
Evaluate the increase in computation efficiency due to the application of quantum algorithms!
